Dr. Rahul Misra is a distinguished Radiation Oncologist and Clinical Lead at Wockhardt Hospital’s Department of Radiation Oncology, bringing over a decade of expertise in advanced cancer care. His career spans leadership roles in premier institutions across India and the UK, where he has pioneered radiation services and treated complex malignancies with precision and compassion.

Qualifications & Training

A Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR, Clinical Oncology, UK, 2022), Dr. Misra holds an MD in Radiotherapy from Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, Ahmedabad (2012-2015, first attempt). He completed a fellowship at Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata (2015-2016), MBBS from Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College, Salem (2004-2009, AIPMT merit), and cleared USMLE Step 1 & 2CK. His academic excellence includes top ranks in AIIMS (210-335) and AIPGMEE (1433).

Professional Journey

Dr. Misra currently heads radiation oncology at Wockhardt Hospital since November 2024, commissioning the state-of-the-art Elekta Infinity for VMAT, IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, and motion management. Previously, he served as Locum Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Kent Oncology Centre, UK (2022-2024), focusing on head & neck and lymphoma cases, and earned Employee of the Month in February 2024. Earlier roles include Consultant and HOD at Apollo Bilaspur (2022) and Director of Radiation Oncology at HCG Vadodara (2015-2022), managing 70+ patients daily on advanced linacs like Varian TrueBeam.

Clinical Expertise

Dr. Misra excels in treating head & neck, CNS (GBM, meningioma, SRS), breast (hypofractionation), lung (radical/palliative), GI (esophagus, rectum), gynae, urology (prostate hypofractionation), paediatric, skin, and haematological cancers (lymphoma, CAR-T bridging). He employs IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SRS/SBRT, brachytherapy, and DIBH, with multidisciplinary tumour board reviews for every case.
